Emergency Relief
Financial hardship can affect anyone. At Fair Foundations, we’re committed to breaking down barriers and empowering people to build stronger futures.
If you or your family need support, we’re here with practical, compassionate help when it’s needed most.
Our emergency relief service is available by appointment for people who are facing challenges such as:
- Difficulty paying bills
- Trouble affording essential groceries
- Financial stress or instability
How to access support
To access support, you’ll need to provide documentation such as ID, bank statements, or Centrelink statements so we can understand your situation. A team member will sit down with you to go through your budget and circumstances with care and confidentiality.
If you’re eligible, assistance may include:
- Food vouchers
- Essential everyday items
- Support with urgent bills, or other critical needs (paid directly to the provider on your behalf)
- Support with casework, advocacy, and financial literacy
Please note: If you’ve already received emergency financial assistance from us, there is a six-month waiting period before you can access it again.
The program is delivered through the Financial Wellbeing and Capability Activity – Emergency Relief, funded by the Department of Social Services.
