Digital Inclusion
At Fair Foundations, we’re here to break down digital barriers and help people find their place in an increasingly connected world.
Everyone deserves to feel confident using technology in daily life. Our digital inclusion programs support people from all backgrounds to build skills, access devices and the internet, and stay safe online, all in a welcoming and culturally inclusive environment.
Why digital inclusion matters
Fairfield is one of the most digitally excluded areas in Australia and the gap is even wider for culturally and linguistically diverse communities. With over half of the local population born overseas, many people face barriers to using technology due to language, affordability, or limited digital skills.
In today’s world, digital access is essential for things like booking appointments, paying bills, using public services, staying in touch with loved ones, and finding work. But not everyone has the same opportunities to participate.
Our programs help bridge this gap by offering free workshops and individual support, with a strong focus on supporting multicultural communities.

What participants say
100% of program participants reported increased digital confidence.
92% felt empowered to make positive changes in their lives, including seeking work or further study.
85% said having their own laptop enabled them to continue learning and applying their skills
“Everything was very useful. The biggest standout for me was learning how to use email, because we need email to register for things online, log into government services, and other services such as electricity, water, and gas.”
“I didn’t know how to write a résumé before—now I can apply for jobs online.”
“We’re going to improve because now we have this laptop at home. So now, whatever I learned in the course, I can go home and practice in my free time.”
